My First Local Flight Experience
Hey guys, welcome to 2022! I know it’s been a while I put anything out there, but you know how it is, work and life caught up with me. I pray for everyone of you that this year will be your amazingly best year ever, and it will usher in good things and goodness for you and your family. Thank you so much!!
So, ehehe🤣to my gist o. Grab your cold coke or bigi cola and chinchin and lerrus start. On the 5th of January this year, I had the privilege and opportunity to enter (board) plane and fly at my age and marital status. I know that you know that I am a fear fear baby… I woke up by 6:30 a.m ready for my trip because my dad was taking me to the car park at sawmill in Ilorin. In the car, he turned to me and he just randomly asked me if af entered plane before and the answer was "No na, I haven’t"….so sha that’s how my dad just said let me take you to airport so you can enter (board) plane.. with a straight face and being indifferent I said okay all cool and as a big gurl that I am, I said lerrus go there!!! *adjustment of my shades* dahs how as we were about to pay, my mind was like “are you sure” I said why not na….tohh! as my dad was buying ticket (which was annoyingly expensive by the way), I told him that “daddy ę ję kin lo wo motor na” (daddy let me go and take motor car) and he said we are already here, let us do it….okay sha we paid and my dad left. So I waited for them to check my luggage in🧳 and I was asked to wait to board. Issokay….as we were about to board, I don tell my friend where I had my investment as that is my last kobo on earth and in heaven (my heavenly Father is rich sha so I fit own more than that).
So fast forward to when we climbed something whey be like ladder stairs to enter the plane. I got myself seated and I looked at how the woman beside me was going to do her belt. I sha had the belt done with the assistance of the woman of cos. I had to even ask my friend on worsup (Whatsapp) that will eventually read my will, “shey I can make it really tight?” and my friend told me as long as I was comfortable. Toh I don comfortable oo!! They say we shu off our phones, that is to say the aunty making the announcement. I had to tell the people I was chatting with “odigba odigbere”...lol….eheh, make I no forget!! An older woman beside me kept calling everyone callable on her phone telling them "ati fe fo, ati fe fo"(we are about to fly, we are about to fly). In my mind I was like, “nibo lęhun fo lo ma?”(where are we flying to ma?)🤣cos me that I don dey panic already, abi na sign be dis? abi I shu come down nii and tell them to sell my ticket? I sha “shey bi “ strong woman as we don tight belt. They first gave all ds serenren information that I couldn’t even hear again cos I don dey pray to God, “God abeg o, God abeg oo”.
So, the plane started moving like motor first, heee sha move long…dahs how heee do issshhhhhh “haaaa, ati fo niyen” (we af fly be that). I sha closed my eyes, I con open am small small to see that the woman beside me don close eye too🤣. Finally, I con open the two eyeballs and I saw a white cloud. I sha close am back. At some point, the plane was dancing and I was just saying “God is here God is here!!!” cos at this junction, I can see something whey be like shadow dey pass our window, abi them dey sell puff puff outside the window niii? I sha started my praise and worship to God(in my mind of course). The only time I had my eyes fully opened was when the pilot abi na the announcer announced we are in lagos and I had to also look at the roof and people down. The road and houses wasn’t even tiny as I thought it will be. Before I forget, as I dey close eyes dahs how I started smelling hot meatpie…abi dey wan give us food nii? cos I saw when the air hostesses carried water to the back, I said to myself “be like say na from back them wan serve us”. At some point, I started smelling hot water for eba…abi na swallow we go chop niii? or is it me that is hungry?.
So sha that’s how we were about to land it felt downward position like we were going down na, shey you get?? I just heard gbimmmm….ashey we don land niyen…was just saying thank you JESUS thank you JESUS oo….the mummy beside me just looked at me and said “congratulations”, I said “thank you ma” but in my mind (mummy aku congratulations gannii)….that’s how as we were coming down dem give us one pali you go think say na small chops dey there ashey na cake and one tiny drink dey there, whey it con be like say dem dey warm our food that time🤣in all sha we are grateful…thank God for journey mercies.
pros and cons of the trip, it was super fast, in 40 minutes we af landed…cons just the fear of heights and flying. I fully recommend it with my full chest to everyone to try and if you’re a flyer like me, I say na ds kain good fly we go dey fly o!!
Thanks for reading and I hope to be consistent this year. Feel free to share and make a comment after reading it...
